Ok let me say this off the bat as I know it is not a very popular opinion to have. I am a fan of Sky Captain. I thought it was a great movie. I'm not going to defend my stance as I don't feel I have to. I personally happen to love the movie. That being said when I started to read about this next mention the Cap was the first thing that came into my mind. Seems the boys (and girls) over at Dark Horse Indie have gotten their hands into a little movie called Monarch of the Moon. The general story seems to that this is a WWII propaganda film disguised as an old school multi part Saturday Matinee serial. Not sure who came up with it but the faux back story they have to go along with the movie is a kick. The movie will make it debut at the upcoming NY Comic-Con. Not sure if it is direct to video or a limited release at that point. This one completely flew under my radar.
